Last week’s Outlander saw Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) become a general in George Washington’s (Gary Fannin) Continental Army, putting the Scottish hero in command of more men than ever before. Claire (Caitriona Balfe), of course, resolved to join her beloved husband as a doctor on the front lines of the Revolutionary War. Meanwhile, Lord John Grey (David Berry) learned his adopted son, William Ransom (Charles Vandervaart), was walking straight into a kidnapping plot! What will happen next on the Starz hit? You’ll have to tune into Outlander Season 7 Episode 15 “Written in My Own Heart’s Blood” to find out!

Outlander Season 7 Part 2 premiered back in November, and since then, we’ve been back to Lallybroch, been led to believe that Jamie was lost at sea, and seen Roger (Richard Rankin) meet his long-lost World War II pilot father (Nicholas Ralph) in 1739. Needless to say, a lot has been going on! And perhaps the biggest drama is yet to come! After all, Jamie and Claire are hurtling towards a pivotal battle in Revolutionary War history: the Battle of Monmouth.

We might already know that General Washington and the Continental Army will win the war, but will Jamie, Claire, and their friends survive to live another day? Is William going to be okay? And will Roger and Brianna (Sophie Skelton) ever be reunited? Here’s everything you need to know to watch the next episode of Outlander

What Is The Newest Season of Outlander?

What, pray tell, is the newest season of Outlander? What’s all this about an Outlander Season 8 and why can you only get Seasons 1-6 on Netflix?

Outlander Season 7 is the newest season of the Starz show. The first half of Outlander Season 7 premiered in 2023 and the brand new episodes airing on Starz this winter are Outlander Season 7 Part 2.

There will be an Outlander Season 8, but Outlander Season 8 will also be the last season of the show. Stars Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe have already wrapped filming on the final season, which will likely debut sometime in 2026.

Confused about why you can’t find Outlander Season 7 on Netflix? New seasons of Outlander usually arrive on Netflix about two years after the final episode of the season airs on Starz. So that means you might not be able to stream Outlander Season 7 on Netflix until 2027.

Is Outlander on Netflix? When Will Outlander Season 7 Be on Netflix?

Yes, Outlander is on Netflix, but right now only Seasons 1-6 are available to stream. Outlander Season 7 is not currently on Netflix. You can only catch Outlander Season 7 Part 2 on Starz.

We don’t know for sure when Outlander Season 7 will hit Netflix, but it usually takes about two years for a finished season of the Starz hit to make its way to the streaming service. Because Outlander Season 7 will wrap up on January 17, 2025, that means we might have to wait until 2027 for these new episodes to wind up on Netflix.

Is This The Last Season of Outlander?

No, Outlander Season 7 isn’t the last season of Outlander. Outlander Season 8 will be the last season of the Starz show.

That said, Outlander Season 8 isn’t necessarily the end of Outlander. A new prequel series, Outlander: Blood of My Blood, recently wrapped filming its first season in Scotland. Blood of My Blood explores how Claire’s parents and Jamie’s parents fell in love against the respective backdrops of World War I and early 1700s Scotland.

Jamie Roy and Harriet Slater have been cast as the young, star-crossed versions of Jamie’s parents, Brian Fraser and Ellen MacKenzie, while Hermione Corfield and Jeremy Irvine will portray Claire’s intrepid parents, Julia Moriston and Henry Beauchamp.
