Jenna Bush Hager’s Husband Once Told Their Friends She Sounds Like “White Noise” When She Talks: “I Was Like, ‘I’m Right Here!’”

Jenna Bush Hager has always been an open book when it comes to her marriage. So when Eva Longoria asked if Bush Hager has a love language that she prefers on Today With Jenna & Friends, Bush Hager did not shy away from sharing the “funniest” story about her husband talking about her with their friends.

Though both hosts agreed that their love language is acts of service, Longoria added that she likes to feel heard in her marriage, something Bush Hager could certainly relate to.

“You know what the funniest thing was, Henry once said to some of our friends — some of them may work on this show — and I heard him, ‘I was like, I’m right here!'” she told Longoria. “He said sometimes when I talk to him it just becomes a white noise. Like Charlie Brown.”

The confession earned a laugh from the Today crew as she continued, “He’s like, ‘Sometimes when Jenna talks to me the words don’t come into my mind.’ And I’m like, have I become that person to you?”

Bush Hager has revealed several hilarious things about her marriage, but one thing she was not willing to share was whether her husband has any “icks,” or habits that turn her off.

“Spoiler alert, because I’ve been with my husband for 20 years,” Bush Hager told Hoda Kotb and Nobody Wants This star Justine Lupe when she was visiting the show in December 2024. “You do get it, but there’s so many more un-icks than icks.”

Lupe then pointedly asked her if she could name any of her husband’s “icks.” But the Today host completely froze at the question.

Luckily enough, Kotb stepped in to save her. “Oh God, don’t, don’t, no, don’t,” she said. “Justine, what happens is it gets in Page Six and then she gets in trouble.”

They all shared a laugh at that as Kotb continued, “No, I’m protecting her from herself.”

Longoria is just the second guest host to join Bush Hager on her new hour of The Today Show, which will feature several celebrity guests until they name a permanent host who will fill Kotb’s spot. This week, Keke Palmer, Michelle Buteau and Taraji P. Henson will be guest hosting with Bush Hager.
